This Communications Section teletype discusses a close sighting of a UFO taking off from the desert floor, observed from about 100 feet away and at an elevation of 25 feet above the scene.
The unidentified object, which took off in a roar of bluish and orange flames, was described as being white, "...oval shaped, similar to a football, possible 20 feet long, and had a red insignia about thirty inches high centered on the object." SAC reports that the military is presently conducting an operation known as "Cloud Gap," but it is "...not known if above incident relates to Cloud Gap." The teletype notes that the witness is "...considered sober, dependable, mature..."
The US web site who published this declassified document has seemingly missed its relation to the very famous case of Lonnie Zamora's close encounter, a very famous case which I detalied in my site.
