1978, DOS HERMANAS, MADRID, SPAIN, MARIA DOLORES ARMARIO:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

It seems that on April 21, 1978, the Correo de Andalucia newspaper published an interview of a 13-year-old girld, Maria Dolores Armario, or Maria Dolores Armario Pino, residing in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, Spain.

Apparently the girl claimed to be in contact with extraterrestrials of the planet "Umo". According to her, her experiences began five years earlier, when a tall man and a tall woman, named "Anseisgesd" and "UIT", started to materialize in her dormitory, giving her details of the affairs of their planet.

The girl reportedly said she did not remember well all that they told her, but they spoke to her about a mission she should accomplish in connection with a war on their world.

Because "Umo" appealed to believers in the Ummo hoax, it seems articles were written about it in various UFO bulletins.

In a 1983 listing of negative humanoid cases of the Iberic Peninsula, this ufologist notes the Dos Hermanas case in Spain, 1978 as a negative to discard, indicating "VIMANA 2" as reference to the commonplace explanation.

DOS HERMANAS (Sevilla)

CONTACTEE

WITNESS: María Dolores Armario Pino.

REPORT:

D. Ignacio Darnaude Rojas - Marcos, friend of the Cosmic Wheel, gives me the first name and the surname of this lady to get in touch with her.

Using her surname I look in the phone directory and I get a lady who is not from her from her family, neither herself not her husband, who tells me that I am not the first who calls her, and that she does not know where she lives nor her phone number.

I ask her whether "UFOs" means something to her but that I am not a journalist but she is the friend of a friend and that I would like to speak to her to exchange impressions, it seems that it reassures her and she tells me that one day, she was at her aunt's (of Mrs. Dolores) and she told her what occurred by phone, and she told her that her niece did not want to say anything, because they had been harrassed by the newspapermen and that it occurred when she was young.

Speaking with this woman, she entrusted to me that her aunt had told her that Mrs. Dolores had a cross on her back, I did not give importance to this and I suggested to her that this is normal and that there are many people like that.

She gives me a certain clue of her address, that for example I must seek the Campo Amor street, passing by the district "Montesillos", behind the "Prior Furnitures".

The Belgian ufologist indicates in a compilation of information relating to the "Ummites" extracted from the UMMOCAT catalogue by Ignacio Darnaude that in 1978, in "Diario 16" #512 for June 12, 1978, an article was published about Maria Dolores Armario, thirteen years old, inhabitant of Dos Hermanas in Madrid, who claimed that she has contacts with the extraterrestrials of the planet Ummo. (D494)

The article had already been published on April 21 in "El correo de Andalucia" of Sevilla, signed Fernando Diez de la Cortina (D537). A report about it followe, by Leopoldo Bernabeu in #1312 of June 21, 1978 of "Garbo" in Barcelona (D538), published also in #42 of "Contactos Extraterrestres" in Mexico City on July 5, 1978 (D631).

Antonio Eligido wrote about the alleged telepathic conversations with beings from Ummo in the #4 of 1978 of the "Vimana" magazine of the CIOVE of Santander (D666) and Moya Cerpa wrote an article published in ARGUS, pages 13 and 14, of the CERPI, #4 of 1978, Brussels, about a girl living in Dos Hermanas (Sevilla) who talks with the extraterrestrials.
