APRIL 10, 1974, WHITEHOUSE, OHIO, USA, MR. SMITH:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Earl Neff and Larry Moyes, ufologists affiliated to the famous NICAP, reported that Mr. Smith had left his work near Whitehouse, Ohio, around April 10, 1974, at 00:15 a.m., and drove towards Waterville on Route 64 when his engine and lights died out.

He came out of the car and noticed another car stopped behind him; the driver, normally dressed, with the gray hair, approached and offered him a "proof" of extraodinary power by dematerializing a rock with a small hand-held device.

He told to Mr. Smith that he should "save" his wedding, and promised further "contacts."

This is all there semms to be about it.

Points to consider:

There is nothing in supporting of the reality of the rather nonsensical story. "Mr. Smith" might be a pseudonyme and this witness is a single witness whose profile is not indicated. There is no sign that the story was investigated, and no clue on its origin.
