NOVEMBER 15, 1972, SEMPACH, LUCERN, SWITZERLAND, HANS BUCHMANN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Hans Bouchmann, or more probably Buchmann, a Swiss peasant or farm worker, aged 50, of Romerswill, allegedly disappeared in Sempach, and reappeared two weeks later in Milan, Italy.

It is said by who know who that when he came back home the next year, his head was swollen, he had no morehair, no more beard and no more eyebrows.

It seems that he explained that he had been taken to the sky to "Fairyland."

Narratives:

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Romerswill-Sempach, Switzerland, on November 15, 1972, in the evening, farm worker Hans Bouchman disappeared near the above village and was found wandering near Milan, Italy.

He could only remembered being "taken up into the sky" into the land of the "fairies" where he apparently traveled out of his body and was then eventually returned to his body. No other information.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is CUN Europa.

[Ref. bm1:] BRUNO MANCUSI:

A ufologist asked about a case dated November 15, 1792 in which apparently, Hans Bouchmann, a 50 year old Swiss peasant, disappeared suddenly in the village of Romerswill-Sempach and reappeared two weeks later in Milan. Bouchmann said that he had been taken up into the air and transported to Fairyland. When he returned he found he had been thoroughly shaved and had not one hair left on his body.

Swiss ufologist Bruno Mancusi answered that he can confirm the tale: Hans Buchmann, or Buochmann, lived at Romerswill and allegedly disappeared at Sempach, Luzern canton. He reappeared two weeks later in Milan. When he went back home the next year, his head was swelled, he had no hair, no beard and no eyebrows.

Points to consider:

The story seems to have no clear primary sources, no relation with the UFO sighting reports phenomenon, no entities were described. The witness makes think of some old hobo's tales, the loss of hair noted by unknown observer(s) could be any ordinary medical problem and seems to have appeared one year after the alleged visit to "fairyland", a country which is no part of rational approach of anecdotal stories since there is no evidence at all that this land exists.
