1965, GLEN ALLEN, VIRGINIA, USA, KEVIN JACKSON:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Kevin Jackson reported by email to an "alien encounters" website that disappeared later that as he was aged 8, in Glen Allen, Virginia, in 1965, at 7 p.m., he was playing with a group of kids in a church.

He looked out the back fire escape door window on the 2nd or 3rd floor and saw, very close to the back of the church, an oval or saucer-shaped UFO about 100 to 150 feet away. The craft was pretty much at eye level with him or maybe slightly higher.

He saw what appeared to be a number of window segments separated by vertical strips that extended about 50 to 60 per cent of the object's width. The object was 15 to 20 feet tall, 30 to 50 feet wide, and it was pretty much occupying the leaf span directly over a 30 to 50 years old oak tree or some similar tree.

From the window portion of the craft, a red light came out and was very close to the top of the tree, so the windows may have been on the underside, but he was not really sure.

He remembered more clearly that the soft red light from the windows silhouetted several human-like figures that appeared to be sitting, doing some slight movements.

He was curious until he saw the movement and then he became frightened.

The craft made no apparent noise that he could hear from inside the church and was hovering very still. He could not tell what color or material the object was, but could see its basic form in the dark.

When he saw the movement inside the object he called another kid to look at it and this other kid saw it too. Finally, he became very frightened and ran into the main church, disrupting the service.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Glen Allen, Virginia, in 1965, at 19:00, the witness, Kevin Jackson, an 8-year old child at the time was playing with a group of kids in a local church when he looked out the back fire escape door window on the 2nd or 3rd floor. He saw very close to the back of the church an oval or saucer-shaped UFO about 100-150 feet away. The craft was pretty much at eye level with the witness, perhaps slightly upward. He could see what appeared to be a number of window segments separated by vertical strips that extended about 50-60 per cent of the object's width. The object appeared to be about 15-20 ft tall, and about 30-50 feet wide. It was pretty much occupying the leaf span directly over a 30-50 year old oak tree or similar tree. The window portion of the craft was emanating a red light and was very close to the top of the tree, so the windows may have been on the underside, but the witness could not really be sure. What he could remember more clearly was that the soft red light from the windows silhouetted several human-like figures that appeared to be sitting with some slight movements. He was curious until he saw the movement and then he became frightened. The craft made no apparent noise that he could hear inside and was hovering very still. He could not tell what color or material the object was, but could see its basic form in the dark. When he saw the movement inside the object he remembered grabbing another kid to look at it and he saw it too. When this happened he became very frightened and ran into the main church disrupting the service.

Points to consider:

The source www.etcontact.net/newsite does not exist anymore as of 2008. This website used to publish alleged alien encounters testimonies sent by the readers.

It is a pity that there was apparently no investigation in connection with this sighting report, which from its tone, for what appears in the second hand version, seems me to be rather reasonable and rational. An investigation could have made sure that it was or was not a helicopter.

It is of course to note that the witness was only 8-year-old when it happened, that he reports it decades later, that the report was on a web site that disappeared, that the credibility cannot be guaranteed.
