FALL 1965, BLANCA, CALIFORNIA, USA, CLAUDETTE CRANSHAW:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Mystery books and UFO books author Paris Flammonde reported in a 1971 book that near Blanca, California, on Autumn 1965, in the evening, one Claudette Cranshaw was walking along the beach when she saw a strange luminescent globe land nearby.

The story claims that half a dozen "eerie semi-humanoids" emerged, "garbling horrible sounds at one another". They began pursuing Claudette, and she was swiftly caught, overwhelmed, and raped by the six "monsters", twice each. Subsequently the 19-year old supposed to have given birth to a stillborn blue-skinned seven-fingered web-toed baby.

Narratives:

[Ref. mm1:] "MAGONIA" MAGAZINE:

A Californian, Claudette Cranshaw, was said to have been walking along the beach near Blanca when a luminous globe landed and six semi-humanoids pursued and raped her, as a result of which she gave birth to a stillborn blue baby.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Blanca, California, on Autumn 1965, in the evening, Claudette Cranshaw was walking along the beach when she saw a strange luminescent globe land nearby. Half-dozen eerie semi-humanoids emerged, garbling horrible sounds at one another. The sextet caught sight of, and began pursuing Claudette. She was swiftly caught, overwhelmed, and raped by the six "monsters" - twice each. Subsequently the 19-year old was supposed to have given birth to a blue skinned seven fingered web-toed baby. No other information.

Albert Rosales indicates as source Paris Flammonde, The Age of Flying Saucers, and comments that it is a "poorly documented case that could have modern day correlations if true."

Points to consider:

"Cranshaw" is possibly a mispell for "Crenshaw" - or the sign that the name was invented in such a way that it was unlikely to match a real name by chance.

Indeed, the story does resemble those produced in sensationalistic tabloids. I can very well imagine that someone read it in such a publication, told about it to UFO books and mystery books author Paris Flammonde, without much information on the dubious origin, and that was it: it entered a book, there was no research, no investigation, just a story.

Below: A large number of crime, horror, sex and violence trash magazines existed and still exist in the US. Among the invented stories are of course the occasional UFO encounter stories and lurid stories of space beings assaulting defenseless women.
