FALL 1965, HOLBAEK, SJAELLAND, DENMARK, A MAN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

In Holbaek, Denmark, in Fall 1965, at 11 p.m., noticing a strange lilal light in a field, a farmer reportedly went to investigate and found a large object posed on the ground.

The object allegedly had some dome, and nearly oval shaped luminous windows and inside, something moved, or according to one version, a human-looking figure seemed to actuate some equipment.

While the farmer approached at less than 100 meters of the object, the light dimmed and the object took off, flew above him and disappeared.

The farmer soon felt weak and tired and went to sleep. The next day he allegedly inspected the field and found flattened grass at the site and a substance of "strong" color; he collected some of it and put it under a stone, but it dissolved without leaving a trace in three days. He said that it looked like cotton-wool, but it had a colour he had never seen before, and was much finer than cotton so that he could hardly feel it when he took it in his hands. He also noticed that the lowest wire on some nearby pylons had been pulled down and dragged about 60 feet.

Apparently the farmer kept quiet about it for some time because he was afraid of ridicule, and it apparently surfaced in a local newspaper in May 1967.

DENMARK Holbak (Date not given)

A farmer from the neighbourhood of Holbak reported a strange experience he had late one night. He kept quiet about it for some time because he was afraid of ridicule.

The farmer said: "I was looking out over the fields when I suddenly saw a strange light. It was not an ordinary light, but artificial and lilac-coloured.

"I was quite staggered. People are not usually at that place at night. Then I realised that something was happening and I went over to it. But midway I suddenly noticed an object. In the darkness it was difficult to see what it looked like."

The farmer said that the light came from some windows which were almost oval in shape. He could see that there was a dome on the object because he faintly saw the outline of something below. He also saw that something seemed to move behind the windows.

He was so impressed by the experience that he at once went home and went to bed. The next day he went down to the field and found a mysterious substance which he could not describe exactly.

He said that it looked like cotton-wool, but it had a colour he had never seen before. It was much, much finer than cotton. He could hardly feel it when he took it in his hands. He described the colour as "strong". He gathered a handful and placed it under a stone. The substance disappeared little by little over a period of three days.

In the place where he had seen the object, he discovered that the grass was pressed down. He also notices that the lowest wire on some nearby pylons had been pulled down and dragged about 60 ft.

This is a Danish website about the story indicated in [ar1].

The website is barred of warnings prohibiting any copy, loaded with scripts to deter the use of copy/paste functions, and decorated of a logo of the "Adamski flying saucer" type.

There appears no witness name, no ufologist name, no indication of a source for the account, no investigation report.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Holbaek, Denmark, on Autumn 1965, at 2300, noticing some strange lights in a field a farmer went to investigate and was confronted by a large landed round object on the ground. The object had a large illuminated window and inside the farmer could see a human like figure that appeared to be operating some equipment. As he approached to within 100 meters from the object, the light dimmed and the object rose up flew over him and vanished. The farmer soon felt weak and tired and retired to bed. The next day as he inspected the field he found ground traces and a colorless substance, which he collected but dissipated into nothingness after 3 days.

Albert Rosales indicates as source Danske UFO Obsevationer [sic, Observationer].
