1959, MILLERSBURG, OREGON, USA, A TRUCK DRIVER:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Greg Long indicated in 1996 that in 1959, the driver of a mint truck traveling in Millersburg, possibly near Conser lake, where mint is still grown, was terrified by a tall, hairy, white creature that resembled a gorilla. The creature ran at a speed of 35 mph alongside the driver's truck, and peered into the cabin.

Greg Long mentions that sometime during that year, it was said that a "flying saucer" had crashed into the lake, and that this part of the story has yet to be verified.

Narratives:

[Ref. gl1:] GREG LONG:

Greg Long indicates that in 1959, the driver of a mint truck traveling in Millersburg, possibly near Conser lake, where mint is still grown, was terrified by a tall, hairy, white creature that resembled a gorilla. The creature ran at a speed of 35 mph alongside the driver's truck, and peered into the cabin.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Millersburg, Oregon, in 1959, at night, the driver of a mint truck traveling near Conser Lake was terrified to see a tall, white creature that resembled a gorilla. The white hairy creature ran at 35 mph alongside the driver's truck peering into his cab. Sometime during the year it was rumored that a "flying saucer" had crashed into the lake.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Greg Long.

Points to consider:

The link between this alleged creature and the UFOs or flying saucer is meaningless here since the witness did not report any UFO or saucer, and that the incident of an alleged flying saucer crash in neither dated nor verified.

If the story is authentic, which is uncertain, I do not see any sure explanation about the nature of this creature. To me, this is an unexplained case, but very insufficiently assured.
