FEVRIER 1955, CHATEAU DE WILDENTEIN, BADEN-WURTEMMBER, ALLEMAGNE, MAXIMILIAN ET ANNELIESE HOFER VON LOBENSTEIN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The castle of Wildenstein is near Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and ghost stories are told there since decades.

The first appearance of a "ghost" of which traces remain occurred at the end of World War II, when American soldiers lodged in the castle and one of them claimed that the bathroom door opened suddenly and that a woman dressed in white came in. The soldier spoke to her, kindly requesting that she leaves the bathroom, but the woman did not react and just stood there. The soldier wanted to push her out, but, he said, his hand passed through her and she then disappeared.

In the Fifties, the castle was occupied by Maximilian Hofer von Lobenstein, and he reported that sometimes a strange music was heard in all the castle, which source is said to remain unexplained.

His wife, Anneliese said she saw one day in the kitchens of the castle, a young boy in old-fashioned sailor clothing. She walked towards him, but before she reached him, he had disappeared.

Baron Maximilian, her husband, said that it was a boy of the name of Georg who lived with the castle in 1890 and had died of diphtheria. The baron himself said he saw on several occasions a tiny man whom he described as a gnome, who used to disappeared under his eyes in the form of a smoke when he tried to catch him.

No investigation or research seem to have been carried out about these occurrences. Some of the stories seemed to have surfaced in a book claiming that "fairies" are real, and these two stories later appeared in a ufology catalogue.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Heilbronn, Germany, on February, 1955, at night, at the fifteenth century Wildenstein Castle, Maximilian, Baron Hofer von Lobenstein had gone out one night to let the dogs out when he saw about ten feet away, lit up from behind by a small blue flame, a little man with a beard. He hopped around the Baron, but suddenly disappeared in plain sight. The Baroness saw the little man too, on a different occasion. It was about noon when she saw a two-foot tall man in a yellow vest and peaked cap, which turned a somersault in one of the castle rooms.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Janet Bord, Faeries, Real Encounters with The Little People.

Points to consider:

The castle of Wildenstein is near Heilbronn, and ghost stories are told there since decades.

Le château.

Baron Maximilian, her husband, said that it was a boy of the name of Georg who lived with the castle in 1890 and had died of diphtheria. The baron himself said he saw on several occasions a tiny man whom he described as a gnome, who used to disappear under his eyes in the form of a smoke when he tried to catch him.

No investigation or research seem to have been carried out about these occurrences, whose relationship with the question of the UFO occupants does not seem obvious to me.
