May 4, 1932, Toronto, Canada, a retired minister:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

"Skeptical" authors Robert E. Batholomew and George S. Howard told in their 1998 bookk of an encounter that was told in a personal letter to them from Alberta astronomer John B. Musgrave, who cited a letter written to him by the retired, anonymous, minister, dated March 16, 1976.

It told that on May 4, 1932, 150 miles north of Toronto, Canada, a retired minister claimed to have seen bright lights and visions when having to make important decisions about church affairs.

They quote: "All at once the main street was lit up with the whitest of white lights. It was much brighter than the Sun at noon days. ... the City lights looked like globs of blood in the whiteness. The light came from 'a round cloud' with an 'etched' or 'scalloped' outer edge... a light streamed down like a laser beam, which I've seen since."

The retired minister then turned and saw "standing beside me... a young man with golden hair" and a similar colored suit. "He had radiant blue eyes," was "about my height - he smiled, oh how beautiful he was. He told me my real work would be training. ... in that city, he said remember the cottage in the rear of the Mansions are as important as those who dwell in the mansions. ..."

[Ref. bh1:] ROBERT E. BARTHOLOMEW AND GEORGE S. HOWARD:

The authors indicate that on May 4, 1932, 150 miles north of Toronto, Canada, a retired minister claimed to have seen bright lights and visions when having to make important decisions about church affairs.

They quote: "All at once the main street was lit up with the whitest of white lights. It was much brighter than the Sun at noon days. ...the City lights looked like globs of blood in the whiteness.

He told me my real work would be training. ...in that City, he said remember the cottage in the rear of the Mansions are as important as those who dwell in the mansions. ..."

The authors indicate that this is from a personal letter to them from Alberta astronomer John B. Musgrave, who cited a letter written to him by the retired, anonymous, minister, dated March 16, 1976.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in 150 miles W of Toronto Ontario, Canada, on May 4, 1932, at night, during a period of personal crises of his theology, the witness, now a retired pastor, found himself in a city of 16-17 thousand 150 miles west of Toronto, in a street lit up by a brilliant white light. Looking up, he saw the light came from a round cloud with a scalloped edge, about 200 yards overhead; from it streamed down a light like a laser beam. Standing beside him, he saw a young man with golden hair, dressed in a suit of a similar color; he had radiant blue eyes, and was about 5.5 feet tall. He smiled at the man and told him that his work would be in that city, and reminded him "the cottage in the rear of the mansion are as important as those who dwell in the mansions." He said the witness would be there for 6 years and would work his way to the west coast. According to the man's account, the prophecies were fulfilled.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "John Musgrave and Ted Bloecher".

[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:

The author indicates that on May 4, 1932, at night, west of Toronto, Canada, there was a close ecnounter of the third kind.

During his studies in theology, the witness had a period of doubt about pursuing a career in religion, following a lived experience that he never forgot:

He was in an unnamed city of sixteen to seventeen thousand people, 250 kilometers west of Toronto, traveling in a street brightly lit by an unusually strong light. He was anxious about it and wanted to know where it came from, it soon became apparent that it emanated from a kind of "round cloud with serrated edges" that was about 200 meters above him. There was a beam of light going to the ground, and inside there was a young woman with golden hair, dressed in a suit of the same color, who had bright blue eyes and a height of five feet six inches, 1.63 m.

She smiled at the witness and told him that he will work in this city, and reminded him of the following quote: "The people in the little house behind the castle are as important as the castellans."

She then told him that he will stay in this community for six years and will work the rest of his career on the west coast. According to the witness, who in the meantime had passed his degrees in theology and became a pastor, these prophecies were fully realized.

Jean Sider indicates that the sourc is "Rosales, according to John Musgrave & Ted Bloecher, sap)."

He commented that if the witness had been a Catholic, he might have seen the Virgin Mary, and that Ted Bloecher, when he was a ufologist, was considered to be very competent, given the extensive research he did to to exhume unrecognized observations, especially in the American press.

Points to consider:

A story unrelated to UFOs that seems to be just a letter from someone out of his mind...
