Fall 1930 or later, Toulx-Sainte-Croix, Creuse, France, Jules Bouvier:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

In December 1973, ufologist Jean Giraud, aka "Jean D'Aigure" documented the statements of Jules Bouvier, an old man "still sharp" who was "perfectly balanced". After telling of an encounter in 1906 with strange beings, and before telling that he had seen a UFO in the 1940s so often that he no longer paid attention, Jules Bouvier had told an encounter he allegedly made in autumn, in the 1930s:

At Toulx-Sainte-Croix, he returned to the village by the road which bypasses the hill by the North, between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. under a very clear night. When he was only about 40 meters from the road that went up to the hotel; which he was going to take, he suddenly saw a small man climb out of the ditch and climb the right edge of the road that goes from here to the hillside.

The being came out almost opposite the path of the hotel and began to cross the road at an angle, exactly as if he, too, wanted to take the same path.

He was too far away for the witness to notice details. At most its size has been estimated as less than 1.30 meters.

The being thus crossed the road, at the speed of someone walking, but his legs were motionless, glued vertically against each other. He did not walk, he slipped on the ground.

The little being allegedly disappeared instantaneously on the spot when he arrived on the other side of the road, and Jules Bouvier told he felt his hair stand up under his cap.

The sighting did not last more than 10 seconds and it occurred in absolute silence.

[Ref. ja1:] "JEAN D'AIGURE":

Jean D'Aigure (aka Jean Giraud) documented Mr. B's report on his observation of 1906. He himself interviewed this witness. He then documented the second observation of this man.

At a day and a month that the witness cannot remember, in 1930 or after 1930, probably in autumn, in Toulx-Sainte-Croix, Mr. B. returned to the village by the road which bypasses the hill by the North, approximately between 09:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., but under a very clear night. When he was only about 40 meters from the road that went up to the hotel, which he was going to take, he suddenly saw a small man climb out of the ditch and climb the right edge of the road. go here on the hillside.

The being came out almost opposite the path of the hotel and he began to cross the road at an angle, just as if he also wanted to take the same path.

He was too far away for the witness to notice details. At most its size was estimated to be less than 1.30 m.

The being thus crossed the road, at the speed of someone who walks, but his legs were motionless, stuck vertically against each other. He did not walk, he slipped on the ground.

The witness could not believe it, and when the small being instantly disappearing on the spot when he arrived on the other side of the road, the witness felt his hair rise under his cap.

The observation had not lasted more than ten seconds and it had occurred in absolute silence.

The investigator adds "that it is not possible to doubt the testimony of Mr. B..., old man but still sharp and perfectly balanced."

006 ../../1930 - 9 P.M.. - TOULX-STE-CROIX - Witness M. Jules B.

Mr. B. was returning home by the road which bypasses the hill by the N. Suddenly, he saw a small man (about 1.30 meters) coming out of the ditch who crossed the road and climbed the right edge of the ditch at the speed of someone who walks. But his legs were motionless, glued to each other. He slid on the ground, and instantly vanished on the spot once he arrived on the other side.

Duration of the observation: about 10 seconds.

[Ref. mb1:] MICHEL BOUGARD:

The author indicates that in 1930, in Toulx-Sainte-Croix, Creuse, France, at the end of autumn, M. B. returned to the village by road between 09:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when he saw a small being crossing the road about forty meters from him. According to Mr. B., the character was walking at a normal pace of a man, "but his legs were motionless, glued vertically to one another, and he was slipping on the ground." The end of the sighting was equally astonishing: when the being arrived on the other side of the road, this strange little man was to instantly vanish on the spot. Michel Bougard comments that although all this lasted only about ten seconds, one may guess the astonishment of the witness.

It slid on the floor and disappeared instantaneously on the spot once arrived on the other side.

The author indicates that there was a close encounter of the third kind at Toulx-Sainte-Croix, in the Creuse, France, at unknown day and month in 1930, at 9:00 p.m.:

Jules Bouvier, who died in January 1977, was returning home by the road that bypasses a hill from the north, when he suddenly saw a small 1.30 meters tall being who crossed the road and climbed the right edge from the ditch at the speed of a person who walks normally.

Julien Gonzalez indicates that the sources are "Lumières dans la Nuit #130, article 'Pleins feux sur la Creuse';" "INFO-OVNI special issue 'Trois-quarts de siècles d'observations creusoises' by Mr. Giraud and Mr. Catinat, page 4"; "Michel Bougard, La Chronique des OVNI, page 243."

He specifies that this witness is the same is the witness of the case in La Celle-sous-Gouzon in 1906.

Points to consider:

The first sighting reported by this witness to the same investigator is document here in my catalog.

One learns in INFO-OVNI [io1] that after his death in 1970, the son of Jean Gérard Dohmen, Guy Dohmen, published in 1972 the unfinished book of his father by collecting and classifying the result of his research, under the title "A Identifier - Et le cas Adamski - Que Penser des Soucoupes Volantes?" at the TRAVOX publisher, route d'Espelotte - Larressore 64480 USTARÏTZ. The 232-page book, large format, abundantly illustrated, includes 25 pages devoted to the observations in the Creuse, particularly those in the region of Toulx-Sainte-Croix. But the book is unfortunately out of print and therefore rare.

We also discover in INFO-OVNI [io1] and LDLN [ja1] that Jules Bouvier made another observation after 1940, towards "Les Pierres Jaunâtres", of a "strange light" which awoke him; which was far away, a "globe of light, not dazzling, the size of the full moon, which was evolving slowly and silently." It advanced, stopped, recoiled, went in another direction, always at about the same altitude. The interior of this globe seemed to be studded with multicolored points of light. Sighting duration: "about half an hour." We are told that since then, Jules Bouvier "has very often had the opportunity to observe this 'mysterious craft', so often that he does not pay attention anymore."

There is not much choice left: either this man told the truth, as extraordinary as it appears, or he invented everything. Let's just note that there is no evidence and no corroboration at all of any of his stories.
