Albert Rosales found in the 2000's on the "alien.de" German UFO website a story saying that near River Arque, Cochabamba, Bolivia, in 1920, late at night, several men were traveling in very rugged terrain on horses and donkeys and upon reaching the banks of the River Arque they set up camp and went to sleep.
Late that night, one of the men was awakened by noises outside the tent. Thinking of thieves, he went out to check. Stepping out of the tent, he was confronted by a small "man" who identified itself as a “Duende” - a kind of spirit of the forest.
Using perfect Spanish, the small being told the stunned witness that he needed fire. Terrified, the man thought he was confronting the devil and told the short humanoid to leave, and the latter promptly jumped into the nearby river.
The man then lay down again and attempted to calm down and did not wake up his companions. Soon, he felt someone throwing stones at the tent, and walking out, he was suddenly seized by two short "Duendes" who attempted to drag him away. The man screamed in terror, awakening his friends who ran out to help him.
The two small humanoids then released him and both disappeared into the river.
The website "greyhunter.alien.de" was changed into the blog "ufo-alarm.blog.de", and its search engine finds nothing about Cochabamba in 1920.

It is obvious that this is a tale of foklore type, without UFO or extraterrestrials. And there is no justification for claiming the story is factual; there is not even a vaguely reliable source, let alone the slightest verification.
