The Belgium flap:

On November 29, 1989, in the Eupen region:

About 05:45 p.m. in Bildchen, Mr. J.:

At 05:45 p.m., Mr. J., going back from Aix-la-Chapelle on the National Road 3, in Bildchen between the German and Belgian border posts, sees a stationary object in the air at about 250 meters above the ground and only 80 meters away to the left of the road.

The object is dark and carries only a little red-orange light, but suddenly three white lights light on simultaneously, and the object then starts moving slowly and crosses the road, speeding.

Mr. J. turns to the same side, to go home as he lives nearby. Having turned off the car's engine and getting out of the car, he noticed that the object flies with no noise at all.

Seen from the side, it has an elongated shape, resembling the profile of a helicopter, with a cuppola at the front, but without rotor or other external structures. It is the cuppola that carries the red-orange light, very intense, while the three white lights are aligned horizontally on the lower side portion.

The object moved away to Plombières.
