On August 6, 2015, a woman reported to me by email that her female friend from Guebwiller had seen strange luminous balls floating in the sky of the Guebwiller valley.
She forwarded to me what her friend had reported on Facebook:
She and others had seen; on the night of the Festival of Music, so June 21, 2015, between 10 and 11 p.m., a hundred small luminous orange-colored balls appearing to come from the Linthal mountains; they were certainly Chinese lanterns in her opinion.
But she remained puzzled: having asked, she had learned that no launch of chinese lanterns was expected that day.

I put a copy-paste of the text she had published on facebook,,,
To the risk to be called stupid (I stand by ;-) residents of the valley of the florival, did you see like we did, on the evening of the feast of music, between 10 pm and 11 pm, a hundred of small luminous orange colored balls that seemed to come out of the mountains of linthal ? Certainly Chinese lanterns but, after having asked, no launch was expected that day. I do this a bit late but I am curious !

Above: the valley of the Florival. The possibly involved cities are Linthal, Buhl, Lautenbach or Guebwiller.
Indeed I found no announcement or report of a launch of Chinese lanterns that would match the observation; but this does not disprove the objects seen were not Chnese lanterns.
