ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Summary:

On September 2, 2012, Christian Macé published on his "UFO and paranormal" blog a story headlined "Ufos in Mulhouse in the Haut-Rhin in France", which was sent to him by one Adrien about his observation on September 1, 2012 at 00:30:

"Good evening, for information I just saw 10 orange luminous dots moving rapidly in the Alsatian sky (Mulhouse) this Saturday night 09/01/12 at 00:30. No video or photo because the sky is too covered tonight, but this sure is no chineses lanterns. I do not know if other people saw that tonight.".

We are not told why Adrien is sure that these were not Chinese lanterns.
