October 1954, Cordes, Tarn:

Reference number for this case: Oct-54-Cordes. Thank you for including this reference number in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

The regional newspaper Le Tarn Libre, of Albi, Tarn, for October 22, 1954, reported that a "red disc" emitting a sharp red trail was seen, and that it it panicked several witnesses.

In the 2000s, local ufologist Didier Gomez listed this case by indicating that it had occurred "in the first weeks" of October 1954, at 9 o'clock, and that this red disk was seen by several witnesses for 9 minutes.

[Ref. dgz3:] DIDIER GOMEZ:

Didier Gomez lists this case by indicating that in the first weeks of October 1954, at 9 o'clock, in Cordes in the Tarn, several witnesses saw a red disk for 9 minutes.

Explanations:

Possible meteor.

Before deciding that it could not have been a meteor, I need to know if the "9 minutes" duration is supported by contemporary source. And I wnder why Didier Gomez did not mention the trail.
