Beginning of October, 1954, Cissac, Gironde:

Reference number for this case: Beg-Oct-54-Cissac. Thank you for including this reference number in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

In a general catalog of sighting reports of the Gironde written by the Bordeaux section of the C.F.R.U., published in the ufology magazine Ouranos in the fourth quarter of 1973, it is said that according to the Sud-Ouest newspaper for October 8, 1954, the following observation occurred:

Before that October 8, 1954, therefore, at 08:30 p.m., in Cissac, Miss Ducasse, Mr. Couty and other witnesses saw a red incandescent disc quite far towards Carcan, in the Southwest. There would have been "several minutes of maneuvers", then a descent towards the horizon, accompanied by a reddish trail.

Before October 8, 1954 08:30 p.m. Cissac BA V3 Axe 5

Witnesses: Miss Ducasse, Mr. Couty and other witnesses.

Incandescent red disc rather distant in the direction of Carcan (S.W.). Several minutes of evolution, then descent to the horizon, accompanied by a reddish trail.

S.O. October 8, 54

The report is quite poor; but the "disc" was probable a meteor.
