The newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain for October 24, 1954, reported that upon leaving a dance in Boulay, several young men and women had observed "the other evening" a "cigar" in the sky, which, after briefly stopping above the town, headed southwest, leaving behind it a yellow-orange trail and without any noise, despite the apparent altitude - the rest of the article is missing.
