The newspaper L'Union of Reims on September 3, 1954, reporting a "flying saucer" seen in Ribécourt at 05:20 a.m., added that several people from Tracy-le-Mont had also seen "this craft passing over the village and heading westward."

The department of Oise also has its flying saucer. This is the result of the statements of Mr. Gaston Clément, rural guard in Ribécourt, who claims to have seen, while beginning his duty around 5:20 a.m., a luminous object of different colors coming from Attichy and moving westward at great speed.
Several people from Tracy-le-Mont also confirm having seen this craft passing over the village and heading west.
Interviewed, Mr. Gaston Clément declared:
"My surprise was all the greater because I did not expect to see such a craft above our village. As there is much talk at the moment about flying saucers, I thought I was certainly witnessing a similar phenomenon."

Tracy-le-Mont is at 9 km in the Southeast of Ribécourt.
The data is obviously insufficient; notably, the date is missing, which I can only surmise was in early September 1954.
The so-called "flying saucer" could, of course, have been a meteor.
