October 8, 1954, La Croix-Saint-Ouen, Oise:

Summary:

A short message of the National Gendarmerie made was about two observations in 1954 in La Croix-Saint-Ouen, in the Oise. The second, the day after the first, took place on October 8, 1954, at 11:30 p.m.:

A "machine" had been seen during a few seconds at the vertical of the power station of La Croix-Saint-Ouen, moving from East to West. It is said that the craft was in the shape of a circle, luminous, and that it had been seen by four people, whose names were withdrawn from the gendarmerie document as it was made public in 2014.

A German UFO database of the web was til then the only source, with a doubled record giving only the city, the date and the hour, and no source.

Explanations:

Insufficient information.

One big issue here is about the "circle". By definition a circle is not a disk, a luminous circle should mean:

and not:

The the work "circle" is sometimes used instead of "disc", and this may be the case here; we just do not know. Sad, because a meteor for example can look like a luminous "disc", but cannot look like a luminous "circle".
