December 7, 1954, Fontland, Cher:

Summary:

In their 1966 ufology book "Les Phénomènes Insolites de l'Espace" ("Unusual Space Phenomena"), Jacques and Janine Vallée published a "Preliminary Catalog of 500 Observations," containing only dates and locations.

Case "415" was noted there as having occurred in Fontland in the Cher region of France on December 7, 1954.

In 1970, a local ufologist, Jean Desbois, recorded this case in his regional catalog, noting as a result of his investigation that local newspapers did not mention this observation, and that no information likely to clarify this observation could be obtained.

INVESTIGATION

The local newspapers do not mention this observation.

No information likely to clarify this observation could be obtained.

Explanations:

Map.

Fontland later became a district of Vasselay, a commune in the Cher region.

I can only confirm Mr. Desbois' statement.

I do have a case in Vasselay in December 1954, but it is estimated to have occurred between December 18 and 24, 1954.

Different case, duplicate... date error?
