Ufologist and author Jean Sider learned in an article by the newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain, of Metz, published on October 6, 1954, on page 3, that on October 5, 1954 at 11:15 p.m., in the Moselle, at the top of the hill of Saint-Julien at the crossroads of the roads of Bouzonville and Thionville, a person who remained anonymous saw a craft posed in a field, and was so surprized that he fell from his bicycle.

At the same time the object took off gently in a white cloud of smoke. The witness said to have seen like a red light and traces which had been left in the field by the mysterious craft.
