In his 1958 book about the wave of "Mysterious Celestial Objects" in France in 1954, the French ufologist Aimé Michel stated that on October 3, 1954, in Quend in the Somme, a small hamlet 100 meters from National Road 40 and 5 km north of Rue, residents saw an object pass by at around 9:05 p.m.
