October 2, 1954, Provins, Seine-et-Marne:

Reference for this case: 2-Oct-54-Provins.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

In his 1958 book, ufologist Aimé Michel noted an observation in the Seine-et-Marne department in Provins on October 2, 1954, at an unspecified hour.

He gave no source and no details.

This perhaps corresponds to a photo of one Mrs. Vignot and her son published in Radar magazine for October 17, 1954, captioned "A big red ball has moved silently, for 2 minutes, in the sky of Provins, crossing a vast horizontal triangle, At least according to the double testimony of the Vignot son, construction painter, and of L[?], the municipal poster..."

In this ufology bulletin, Alain Barbe published a map with cases (but not all the 61 cases or more) for October 2, 1954, including that of Provins, which he, like Aimé Michel did, thooght to often be "aligned" beyond mere chance:
