The index page for the 1954 French flap section of this website is here.
Reference number for this case: 24-Sep-54-Clermont-Ferrand. Thank you for including this reference number in any correspondence with me regarding this case.
In the 1950s, a French archivist, Guy Quincy, wrote a catalog of "flying saucer" sightings, typewriten and not widely distributed, in which he wrote that there had been a sighting in Clermont-Ferrand around September 24, 1954, at an unknown hour.
Quincy did not give any source or any other information about it.
[Ref. gqy1:] GUY QUINCY:
vera 24 septembre [1954]
?: Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme)

Totally insufficient information.
It is obviously possible that Quincy put the wrong date on one of the other sighting reports from this town in september 1954.
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dôme,
[----] indicates sources which I have not yet checked.
