Summary:

In 1979, French ufologists Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon indicated that in Thenon, in the Dordogne department, according to their personal archive, on September 23, 1954, at 05:00, p.m., a group of sixteen hunters had observed a "saucer" flying at a dizzying speed at the edge of the trees.

In the 2000s, US ufologist Larry Hatch noted the case in his database, stating that it was a hoax.

The Belgian ufologist indicates that in 1954, on September 23, in France, in Thenon (the Dordogne), "Twelve hunters observe around 17 hours, a flying saucer at vertiginous speed at the level of the trees."

She adds that actually it is a hoax by the hunters.

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Dordogne in Thenon on September 23, 1954 at 17:00 hours "Twelve hunters observe a flying saucer at vertiginous speed the level of the top of the trees." "Actually it is a hoax by the hunters."

Note: "Gross 1954" was meant to refer to my web page on the case. No link was given, and my page was certainly not just "quoting Figuet and Ruchon 1979 p84". Moreover Peter Rogerson did not credit "his" evaluation.
