On October 1st, 1954, in Sucé-sur-Erdre, near Nantes in Loire-Atlantique, a cylinder object has been observed for some minutes, first on the ground, then raising to an altitude of 300 meters. It flew away at the speed of a meteor.

[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:

Ufologist and author Jean Sider learned by an article from the regional newspaper "La Résistance de l'Ouest", of Nantes, on page 2, for October 4, 1954, this case of October 1, 1954 in Sucé-sur-Erdre in the Loire-Atlantique, described via a simple quotation without witness name:

"We were returning from Chateaubriant at approximately 01:30 in the night from Thursday to Friday. We were facing the marsh of Sucé, when we saw a machine having the shape of an elongated cylinder of approximately five meters in diameter. This object rose vertically during three hundred meters, it seemed to to me, and appeared to hover during a few minutes. It left a little later at the speed of a meteor."
