Jean Sider indicates that on Tuesday October 19, 1954 in the evening, a tradesman of Saint-Avold who was driving back from his round saw a luminous machine take off from a a field close to Faulquemont in the Moselle, and disappear in the direction to the town of L'Hôpital [zip code 57490].

Jean Sider indicates that his source is the article of the newspaper Le Republicain Lorraine of October 21, 1954.

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Moselle in Faulquemont on October 19, 1954, at an unknown hour" in the evening, a tradesman of Saint-Avold who returned of a round saw a luminous machine take off from a field, it disappeared in the direction of the city's Hospital."

The source is indicated as "Les OVNI vus de près by Gross Patrick **".
