In the 1990's, ufologist and author Jean Sider discovered this case from October 18, 1954 at an unknown hour between Moreuil and Amiens in an article of the newspaper Le Courrier Picard for October 21, 1954, which content he provides as:

"A young civil servant of the finances, whereas he circulated Monday evening with his scooter between Moreuil and Amiens, observed a strange circular machine posed at a hundred meters of the road, which rose suddenly in a sheaf of light. Frightened, the witness who had stopped his machine, resumed his trip without waiting any more."

It is possible that this was the meteor seen at 08:45 p,m, in that area.
