Jean Sider discovered this case of October 17, 1954, 09:30 P.M. in Liglet in the department of Vienne in the newspaper "Le Libre Poitou" for October 20, 1954. He gives the contents of the article of this newspaper as such:

"Mr. André Roche, driver, was at the wheel of his bus, on the Poitiers-Liglet line. He suddenly saw a luminous ball of white color followed with a tail of greenish colour, which seemed to start from ground. The phenomenon took the direction of St Hilaire sur Bénaize (Indre) after having risen at a vertiginous pace, to get lost in space."
