CNEGU indicates that their case F/98/88541016 in Bruyères Saturday, October 16, 1954 around 21:00, local time, had as witnesses Mr. Mougelle and Mr. Feintrenie and was reported in an article of La Liberté de l'Est for October 18, 1954:

"A SAUCER IN THE SKY OF BRUYERES"

"Two of our friends Misters MOUGELLE and FEINTRENIE were Saturday towards 9 p.m. place du collège, when their attention was suddenly attracted by a disc with the green and red reflections which moved at a sharp pace towards the west leaving behind itself a long trail with the identical reflections. According to these gentlemen that was by no means comparable with a shooting star. Let us add that this phenomenon was noticed by several others of his fellow-citizens".
