[Ref. vmr1:] "VAR-MATIN REPUBLIQUE" NEWSPAPER:

A flying cigare?

One of our fellows from Bastia is said to have seen in the sky of Ajaccio, a flying cigar. Actually, it was quite simply a jet plane which left, Monday evening, a long white trail, which intrigued many people. The city discusses the flying saucers since an unknown apparatus was seen motionless above the Sanguinaire Islands. But the city is less surprised by the visit of this cigar which had the shape of a jet.

Explanations:

Jet airplane.

This is a "quasi negative case", identified without intervention of any ufologist, but unidentified by some of the witnesses apparently.
