September 10, 1954, Quarouble, Nord:

Reference for this case: 10-Sep-54-Quarouble-2.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

In 2008, an anonymous participant in a web discussion board about UFOs wrote that in 1991, during a conference on UFOs in Arras, a lady between 50 and 60 years old had spoken to share her testimony: she said that on the day Marius Dewilde had his encounter, the first or the second, she was in Quarouble, not far from Marius Dewilde's home, and had seen the "craft" take off into the sky in a halo of red light.

The participant explained that he was fully aware of the fragility of the testimony, but asserted that "there were a couple of us in the audience who believed in its authenticity."

Re: 10/9/54 Marius DEWILDE - Quarouble - during the 1954 wave in France RR3

"Reply #13 on: October 08, 2008 at 22:45:23"

In 1991, during a conference on UFOs in Arras, a woman between 50 and 60 years old took the floor to share her testimony: on the day Marius Dewilde had his encounter with ETs (I don’t know whether it was the first or the second), this woman was present in Quarouble (not far from the Belgian border), not very far from his home, and saw the craft take off into the sky in a halo of red light. Of course, one can say whatever they want about the testimony and its fragility, but I can assure you that several of us in the audience believed in its authenticity.

Explanations:

Map.

Since the lady spoke of a halo of red light, this testimony, whether true or false, would more likely relate to the first alleged encounter of Marius Dewilde, on September 10, 1954, rather than to the second alleged encounter one month later in broad daylight.

Being said to have been between 50 and 60 years old in 1991, she must have been between 27 and 37 years old at the time of the alleged encounter(s) by Marius Dewilde.

Arras is located 60 kilometers from Quarouble, so it is plausible that someone from the Quarouble area would come there to attend a conference in Arras.

I would assess this second-hand account as of "unknown credibility" and with insufficient information.
